hi everyone! many of you are currently going through finals week (i think) or preparing for it, but i’m already done with them so i made this guide to help you stay productive during summer break :)

studying

  • if you’ve gotten your result, revise the topic/s you got wrong in the exam or still don’t know very well (so you won’t get stressed or use too much time on those topics when you have to study them again)
  • read up the topics you’ll be covering in the next school year or watch youtube videos of them
  • if you have a class that you’re going to take the next year as well, make a plan over break for when you will study it, like a few hours every week (so you won’t get stressed)
  • if you’re studying, prioritise your tasks and manage your time well! do the more difficult tasks first and make sure you know what the day+date is everyday using a physical/digital calendar
  • do your holiday homework/assignments
  • don’t procrastinate while studying bc that’ll make it easier for you to procrastinate when school starts AND NO ONE WANTS THAT
  • make a list of goals you want to accomplish when school starts
  • build up some motivation for when school starts
  • if you have a shorter break (like winter break which is 1-2 weeks), you can make a spread like this in your bullet journal or on loose paper if you don’t have a bujo. for longer breaks like summer break, you can make that spread ^ on multiple pages to track out your entire break, or make the spread using weeks instead of days (like you track what you have to do per week instead of per day)

relax

  • use the first few days of the holidays to just chill. you probably worked really hard when school was on so its not necessary to start studying/revising again so soon (but if you want to do so then go ahead!)
  • meditate (you can use an app like headspace or stop, think, breathe)
  • do yoga
  • write at least 5 things you like about yourself
  • listen to a boring audiobook narrated by one of your fav celebs
  • play a game (the nancy drew games are my favs)
  • listen to an album or check out an artist you wanted to listed to
  • write a blogpost/poem/novel/short story/play/anything
  • look over old pics
  • make a room decoration (there are lots of youtube videos about this)
  • hang out with your family/friends
  • shop!!!
  • go swimming
  • go to an amusement park
  • go on vacation!!!

health

  • DON’T MESS UP YOUR SLEEP SCHEDULE
  • exercise or take a walk
  • take care of your hygiene i.e. take showers!!!!!
  • stay hydrated!
  • remember to take your meds
  • if you had a habit tracker during the school year, continue with it

skills

  • read!!!!!! esp if you could’t find time for it during school
  • learn a new language or refresh any language you haven’t practiced in a while (like on duolingo/memrise/babbel)
  • learn to play an instrument
  • learn to cook
  • learn to code (codeacademy is a nice place to start)
  • practice any hobby you may have like writing or drawing

other

  • organise your study space/room/closet?/whatever
  • text someone you haven’t talked to in a long time
  • call your parents/siblings
  • watch ted talks
  • watch documentaries
  • browse wikipedia so you can add a random fact to a conversation and sound like the smartest person in the room :)

i hope this helped you!!!
